Myocardial Infarction in a Patient with Herb-Roth Myodystrophy. Clinical Case

Abstract

This work is dedicated to a clinical case of myocardial infarction in a patient with Erb-Roth muscular dystrophy.
The paper examines issues of prevalence, genetic nature, clinical presentation, causes of death, treatment methods, and patient management for primary progressive muscular dystrophies of Erb-Roth, Duchenne, and Emery-Dreifuss. The main cause of death in patients with primary progressive muscular dystrophies is chronic heart failure. Myocardial infarction is diagnosed extremely rarely and only in patients with Erb-Roth muscular dystrophy. The specific course of the condition, and possible directions for further management of patients with Erb-Roth muscular dystrophy who have experienced myocardial infarction are considered based on the clinical case.
