Abstract
To assess the structural and dynamic characteristics of moral and etical qualities and the effect of perfectionism on their formation, employees of internal affairs bodies suffering from somatized disorder were examined 58 employees who were diagnosed according to ICD-10 criteria (F. 45.0). During the study, the role of perfectionism was outlined as a factor that affects the expression of feelings of guilt and shame due to the tendency to set difficult goals and tasks, and the presence of polarized («black and white») thinking. Proposals are given for using the obtained data in psychoprophylactic work with police officers, which will contribute to improving their service reliability.
