Abstract
The main purpose of this literature review was to systematize and synthesize modern scientific ideas about the psychological status of athletes with musculoskeletal disorders and other nosologies in Paralympic and adaptive sports. The analysis of the array of publications allowed us to identify a significant methodological gap, namely, the lack of a consolidated approach and systematic solutions in the field of organizing comprehensive medical and psychological support for the training and competition process of this group of athletes.

Keywords: psychological support, Paralympic athletes, adaptive sports, adaptive physical education, athletes with disabilities, veterans of special military operations, physical education and sports.
